It was my privilege to make a presentation last Friday, Nov. 6 at the National Middle School Association national convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. The theme of the convention was "Making a World of Difference." NMSA had predicted that I would have approx. 30 people in attendance at my session. I made handouts for 50, ran out of copies, and the room was full to overflowing (estimate 75-100). Several teachers stayed after the presentation to ask questions, including one gentleman who had recently traveled to India and also enjoyed wearing a Lungi like the one I had on. The experience was even more rewarding for the opportunity to feature my international friends, especially those from Bangladesh. "Allah Akbar!"

Hi Anna,

This is Shama Naz Siddiqui from Dhaka, Bangladesh. First of all, thank you for adding me up as a friend. It’s a pleasure to meet you on this GCEP web-page. I was going through the events that you’ve posted. I found one particularly interesting “1 minute to save the world: International Short film competition on climate change” as it is very much related to my field of interest, “Environmental protection.”
Thus I was wondering if this competition is applicable to students in the UK or all over the world? Is it possible for us to participate in this event?
Thanking you,
Shama Naz Siddiqui
